- You're right about the possible chip. I have repaired numerous 1541
- drivrs and from my handy dandy 1541 Floppy Drive symtom-solution crib
- sheet from the old Grapevine Group it says," light stays on, motor runs
- continuously" ... Possible Solution "6502 chip or 901229 chip". I have
- always found out that the smaller of these two chips is always the first
- to go out, but in about 50% of repairs along these lines both chips have
- to be replaced. I hope that this helps you.
